Shintaido wave
Dear Shintaido practitioners from all over the world,
The International Shintaido College and the European Shintaido College are excited and pleased to welcome you to this year’s special 50th anniversary event. This international gasshuku takes place in Reims, in the French region of Champagne – which, as you know is associated with celebration !
It is also a nice coincidence that our International Gasshuku is happening just at the time that scientists have finaly discovered Enstein's gravitational waves in space/time. It soon allowed them to catch a ripple originated billions of years ago when two black holes collided. It is because humans set out to detect the wave that we are now-a-day able to “feel”, “see” and “hear” this amazing event from so long ago. Our Shintaido practice is also a process of discovery – we set out to feel, see and listen to each other so we can find something new. Through our practice of Shintaido forms we can also experience the same message through our body that previous generations of Shintaido practitioners did. Many years ago Aoki sensei wrote this message: "Run run young people the future is yours !". Each time we meet we feel the wave of energy from the past practitioners Eiko-dai. As meet this energy we create something new, which will pass in turn to the next generation. All this originates from our body and heart "collision". Past, present and future together like in Paul Gaugain’s painting.
So let's be like those black holes and enjoy “colliding” and creating in this moment so the wave can spread in the universe across generations.
Looking forward to "colliding" with you in Reims to celebrate our 50th anniversary of Shintaido!
