Haruyoshi F. Ito sensei
Ito grew up near Hiroshima, in the turbulent cultural climate of postwar Japan, where he learned firsthand the value of peace and connection. He has spent his life developing that understanding and sharing it with others through a combination of martial arts and moving meditation. He was one of the founding members of Shintaido in Japan. Ito-sensei maintains a vigorous schedule of workshops in Shintaido, T'ai Chi, Amma massage, and intercultural consultation in the Far East, North America, and Europe. He calls it his "three-base-camp life style (Tokyo/Japan, San Francisco/CA, Maslives/France). His current focus is to keep modifying Shintaido without losing its essence, so that the practice will be available to a more general audience including seniors and the physically disabled. Masashi Minagawa sensei
Minagawa-sensei was one of the founding members of Shintaido in Japan. He holds the rank of 5-dan in Shintaido Karate 4-dan in Shintaido Bojutsu.
